Pittsburgh, PA. – Tobii Dynavox, the global leader in assistive technology for individuals with communication disabilities, announced a global appreciation campaign to thank dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Professionals for their work in helping individuals realize more successful and meaningful communication. The mission of the social good campaign is to raise awareness for the work, dedication and compassion demonstrated by these professionals every day, worldwide.
The campaign, That1Moment.com, is comprised of an international video series meant to showcase the life changing work of SLPs, OTs, and AAC Professionals; an e-card creation tool to allow students, patients, friends and family members to send personalized messages of gratitude; and special events planned for SLPs, OTs, and AAC Professionals during industry conferences worldwide throughout the year.
“These professionals are caring individuals that truly make a difference in the lives of the hundreds of thousands of people affected with communication and speech challenges,” says Fredrik Ruben, president of Tobii Dynavox. “This campaign is designed to say ‘thank you’ to the oftentimes unrecognized men and women across the globe who give the gift of communication to their patients and students.”
Tobii Dynavox makes touch-based and eye-controlled devices and solutions that help individuals with motor and speech impairments lead richer and more independent lives. The company works directly with SLPs, OTs, and AAC Professionals to ensure their needs as providers are being met and that they have the tools and products to provide the most effective communication therapy.
As part of the ongoing campaign, Tobii Dynavox will continue to interview and share the stories of communication professionals across North America and Europe.
